Aluminum Alloy 7050 T7451 Plate for Fuselage Frames
Aluminum 7050 is a heat treatable alloy that has very high mechanical properties and high fracture toughness. Aluminum 7050 offers good stress and corrosion cracking resistance and high strength at subzero temperatures.
Aluminum Alloy 7050 also know as an aerospace grade of aluminum combining high strength, stress corrosion, cracking resistance and toughness. Aluminum 7050 is particularly suited for heavy plate applications due to it's lower quench sensitivity and retention of strength in thicker sections. Aluminum 7050 therefore is the premium choice aerospace aluminum for applications such as fuselage frames, bulk heads and wing skins.
Aluminium alloy 7050 plate is available in two tempers. T7651 combines the highest strength with good exfoliation corrosion resistance and average SCC resistance. T7451 provides better SCC resistance and excellent exfoliation resistance at slightly lower strength levels. Aircraft Materials can also supply 7050 in round bar with temper T74511.
